It's coming together!

We decided it needed just a bit more around the portal. Tamara sacraficed one of the frames from her flower collection. it was too perfect. here it is:

My beautiful and talented best friend sent me some progress pictures for our sculpture, this is a very exciting thing for me to see, because it is our first mechanical interactive sculpture. it's simple but she's brilliant, and deserves most of the credit for this one.



confused yet? I cant wait to see it all come together.

Progress phase 1 for Catherine on our next piece.

Tamara and I discussed some ideas over the phone for our next collaboration after some troubleshooting for how to work on a piece together while apart(we now live more than 300 miles from each other) , we decided I should start by sending her a package of chains and shells from our stash in my studio and then next painting on a tiny book to send to her. She will be working on something magical in response to it.

I have just finished that phase and I will be sending it out to her Monday! and see what she comes up with. it seems alot of this will be picture texts. We are very excited to show at The Last Rites Gallery in NYC at the end of the month, and it's terribly convenient that she can hand deliver it when its done.
